The material in this
website comes from a research project that I was required to do
for my EGEE 102 class. The results of this project will seek to show
you the need for
efficient home appliances as well as the benefits of having economically
sound
lighting. This project will focus on two fictional homes. The first
home will focus on
appliances. It will show you the overall amount of money that you can
save by having
an energy efficient appliance as opposed to an obsolete or out-of-date
appliance.
The second portion of this project will focus on an apartment. I will
show you the use
of incandescent lighting and fluorescent lighting and will discuss the
economic and
environmental differences that the two different lighting schemes will
give you.
